Flashback: Mitchell Trubisky’s First Career Start vs. Minnesota Vikings

How fitting that the chapter on Mitchell Trubisky’s rookie season will close similarily to how it began.

As the Chicago Bears prep for their season finale against the Minnesota Vikings (as they have now failed to reach the playoffs for seven consecutive years), we’re reminded of early October when Trubisky made his highly-anticipated first career start against a hot Vikings team.

Trubisky was solid in his first regular season action, and he nearly led his team to a victory. But a costly interception led to the Vikings kicking a game-winning field goal. But Trubisky has certainly grown a lot since that Week 5 start. Let’s see how Trubisky manages facing, yet again, a dominant Vikings defense as he closes out his rookie season.

But first, let’s take a look back at Trubisky’s first start:
