Press Conference: Mitch Trubisky Talks Team Chemistry
It’s hard to believe how much has changed in one year. At this time last year, Mike Glennon was making grand proclamations that “it’s my year” and “it’s my team” — as much to convince himself as to convince the world. Now fast forward a year and it’s Trubisky’s team, and there isn’t the slightest doubt about it.
With five out of 10 OTA practices in the books, Trubisky feels like the offense is coming along in its new scheme under head coach Matt Nagy and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich.
“It’s building fast,” Trubisky told reporters. “We’ve got so many weapons. I’m excited to get them all the ball. We’ve got a great tight end room, great running backs and great receivers. It’s all about everyone learning the offense, building that chemistry together and getting better every day.
“It’s coming along well. The more reps we get, the better off we’re going to be. I just feel like the guys who have been out there going through the reps, we’ve gotten a lot better from Day 1 already, so we’re making progress for sure.”
