Week 14 Postgame: Bears 15, Rams 6 (Press Conferences, Locker Room Celebration)
The Los Angeles Rams received a chilly reception on Sunday night in Chicago in one of the most important games in years for the Chicago Bears. And it wasn’t just the weather that was bearing down on the Rams.
The Bears defense stopped the Rams high-powered offense cold, and the Bears offense did just enough to pull out a 15-6 victory to advance to 9-4 on the season. The Bears are now guaranteed a winning season for the first time in 6 years.
Mitch Trubisky made his grand return to the starting line-up, but the second-year quarterback struggled in his return surely shaking off the rust of not having played for three weeks. Trubisky completed 16 of 30 passes for 110 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions.
Trubisky was grateful and impressed with his defense, which absolutely dominated one of the best offenses in the entire league.
“It really set the tone for the second half,” Trubisky said. “We knew if we just created positive plays on offense, our defense was going to shut them down. They set the tone all night. There’s nothing that they could have done to get going. The defense made up their minds they were going to shut them down. It was absolutely outstanding.”
