Week 16 Postgame: Bears 14, 49ers 9 (Press Conferences, Locker Room Celebration)
While it might not have been the prettiest win, you don’t get style points with victories in the NFL. And the Chicago Bears will certainly take it.
The Bears rallied for a 14-9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers for an early Christmas present, which not only got the team to 11 wins but also kept their hopes for a first-round bye alive.
Mitch Trubisky put together the most accurate performance by a quarterback in Bears history since 1950 with his 86 percent completion percentage on 25-of-29 passes for 246 yards and one touchdown.
“It’s neat to be able to see [Trubisky] go from a play where there is an interception, where there’s a fumble, where there’s a poor read that no one sees, but then he comes back and throws a strike,” Nagy said. “That’s great growth. That’s part of who he’s going to be in this offense.”
